SPECIALTIES: Drug Delivery
Syprosoft has substantial experience with drug delivery and drug dose control products ranging from complex electromechanical delivery devices to simple but innovative mechanical devices. Electromechanical devices include a wearable air pressure controlled delivery of minute doses of insulin, and an electroporation delivery gun that uses elctric fields to increase cell permeability for improved entry of DNA medicines into the cell. Mechanical devices include a dual syringe injector that can be used both for providing local anesthesia and steroid injections to treat joint diseases without changing syringes. Descriptions of some sample projects follow.
Wearable Insulin Delivery Developed the control software and portions of the electronics for a very precise air cylinder controlled wearable drug delivery device.
Dual Syringe Injector Developed an injector with an anesthetic channel that can also aspirate and a steroid channel that when activated automatically blocks the anesthetic channel.
Electroporation Drug DeliveryCreated test protocols and performed V&V for a drug delivery device that uses externally applied pulsed electric fields to increase cell membrane permeability.
Stem Cell Dose ControlDeveloped optics, electronics and software to accurately and non-invasively count the number of stem cells transferred to an implantable pouch during production.
Drug ApplicatorDeveloped a innovative device that provided dose control and uniform drug application for efficacious treatment of hemorrhoids
