Syprosoft has extensive experience with radiology and diagnostic imaging products. Chief Engineer Dipu Ghosh was part of the team that developed GE Medical Systems' first best selling CT scanner. We have experience with all of the major diagnostic imaging modalities, including x-ray, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, ultrasound, SPECT and PET. We have experience with radiology and nuclear medicine workstations and specialized applications such as bone densitometry and radiation therapy planning. We have successfully interfaced with hospital EHR and PACS systems using protocols such as HL7 and DICOM. Descriptions of some sample projects follow.
SPECT Liver-Spleen ScansUsed DICOM and HL7 protocols to interface with hospital PACS and EHR systems and analyze SPECT liver-spleen images
CT ScannersDeveloped software for CT image reconstruction including pre-processing, back-projection, and post processing for removal of various artifacts. Also developed a universal driver for peripherals.
OCT-IVUS ImagingDeveloped the graphical user interface for a hybrid Optical Coherence Tomography and Intravascular Ultrasound system.
Radiation Therapy SimulationDeveloped algorithms and software for 3D CT image reconstruction using a flat panel x-ray detector for radiation therapy planning.
CT Bone DensitometryDeveloped software to process abdominal CT images and isolate metabolically active trabecular bone and calculate true bone density.
MR Blood Flow MappingDeveloped software to quantify peripheral blood flow using a permanent magnet based nuclear magnetic resonance system.
Portable PET ScannerPrepared parts of the design history file needed for regulatory compliance and a successful FDA 510(k) submission.
